Description

This retro boxing classic will have you fighting your way to the World Heavyweight Title.

Gameplay:

Each boxer's energy meter decreases when they get hit. The player's fighter will be knocked down when the meter is zero. This meter does not depend on how active the boxer is (apart for getting punched). There is also a separate meter that shows the damage to each area of the body and head. If the body or head meters are zero, then that boxer takes more damage when they're hit. Punches will always reduce the energy bar of a fighter by a constant amount, regardless of how much damage is dealt to a player.

The fight may end quickly in a TKO if a boxer continues to receive punches in the area where they have sustained a large amount of injury. If a boxer receives a lot of damage to their head, they will get visible cuts. If a boxer falls down three times, he will be declared KO. A boxer may be beaten for the entire match without ever throwing a punch back. However, unless he is knocked out three times or has severe damage on his head or body, then he will not be able to fight. The judges of fights will also not give a 10-8 score to a round if a fighter has been knocked out. This rule is only broken if a 10-9 score would lead to a tie. If this happens, then the round is scored at 10-8 for the winner. In real matches of boxing, the round can be scored as 10-8 when a boxer is badly beaten. Boxers can also hurl insults at each other during fights, like "come and fight you wimp!". (wikipedia)
