The Witch in the Woods

Description

The Witch in the Woods is an action adventure game where you have to protect the Forest from Monsters.

Prologue:

Cynthia is a witch that is the protector of this forest. One day, on her way back home, she finds appearances of monster ravishing through this forest. You must remove these monsters from the forest and find the cause of their invasion.

This game was created in 2 weeks on Flowlab.io for Winter Flowjam 2023.

The game itself is really focused on RPG aesthetics, with many inspirations from the Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest series games. But more specifically, what really inspired the mechanics and art direction is some of my favorite game devs on Twitter like Galof Manron and Faxdoc.

How to Play:

• Movement: WASD or Arrow Keys
• Magic: [1] [2] [3]
• Attack: Click
• Pause: P
• Full Screen: F
• Skip Dialog: Enter or Space

Magic is selected by the number you press. The elements are Blizzard, Lighting, and Firebolt. Each one is stronger than the other, but some enemies will have different damage to the spells. MP restores every second after 2 second of MP usage. Attacks take 2 MP and 2 seconds to recharge each.

• Blizzard: is a short range attack
• Lighting: is a mid-range attack
• Firebolt: is a long range attack
